THE SCHOOL OF DRY-LAND SWIMMING

Imagine if you took your son or daughter to swimming lessons, only to find out that the teacher was showing the kids things that would absolutely NOT work. Even worse, what if you found out that rather than actually getting into the swimming pool or lake and practicing in the water, the kids only stood on the side of the pool and practiced their "strokes" in the air. Would you be happy with that method of instruction? What if they went to classes for years and years before you found this out?

Sadly, there is a significant parallel with this and how many people are taught the martial arts. Students practice many things that would not "keep them from drowning" and rather than "getting in the water," working against real resistance in a fun, athletic and progressive manner, they spend the majority of their time punching and kicking in the air or repetitive practicing patterns.

Parents of our students can rest assured that in our classes, we are truly enjoying our time "in the water."
