You've no doubt heard the expression before: “There is no such thing as a free lunch.” Clichés such as this become clichés because more often than not, they are true. Ask yourself this question: “How is it possible that a business, any business, could keep operating if they gave away their products or services? They couldn't, which means of course that any offer of something for free must have some hidden agenda.

It has become common practice with some martial arts schools to now offer FREE introductory lessons. Some of them are even advertising up to MONTH FREE! Again, be realistic and ask yourself, how is this possible? Now, they may say that they are simply giving the consumer a chance to “try out” their classes before paying any money. But as mentioned above, the FREE offer caries with it something hidden. In this case, it is their tool to give you a high pressure sales pitch (and you know it).

Everyone knows, you don't get a free meal at restaurants so that you can try it out and then come back later to pay the next time want to eat. Health Clubs are not giving away free workouts nor is Little League letting kids pitch a game or have a few turns at bat before they register.
